| 9:24 pm | Just as a disclaimer - I am far closer to leaving RP entirely than I am to making a new game or whatever, but just letting my thoughts wander came up with the following: All of us have reused characters from time to time - a beloved voice whose game dies, and needs a new home, but a revamp. They change, slightly, from incarnation to incarnation, but are still basically the same. Wouldn't it be kind of fun to have a game based entirely on that sort of thing? A 'what if...' sort of scenario? Like, for me, 'What if... Velvet was a mutant? A reincarnated fairytale? A normal girl living in post-apocalyptic NYC?' and so on. It could be through the medium of 'dimension-hopping', or whatever. Or maybe... hahahaha. This is basically exactly the premise of Exiles, isn't it? I AM A LOSER. But, yeah! So, say, you have one dimension, and people are plucked out of their timelines and plonked down in this place due to some... glitch in the cosmos. Pioneer Jane and Mutant John and Fairytale Smithers are all in one place. (It occurs to me that this is also very much like Nat's Canonish, but rather than being pan-literary, it's pan-fandom/whatever, and all OCs.) They make their relationships, live their lives best as they can but one day POP! Pioneer Jane is now Space Age Jane, and while at her core she is still Jane, she is entirely different and now Mutant John and Fairytale Smithers are all 'I know you... but I don't!' and relationships are constantly undergoing this reboot. Okay, yeah, it's really lame. But Ryan wasn't online for me to idly babble at, so I'm spewing idiocy into the IJ instead. Back to your regularly scheduled FL! |

| 11:46 pm | back in the game! phew! I have re-entered the world of RP, and lo, it is glorious! FT PEEPS! We're kicking it back into high gear now that the mods are coming off hiatuses, so be sure to head over and comment on the mod post(s) to give your input on upcoming plot and suchlike! It's gonna be awesome, and we wanna make sure nobody misses anything. :D It's so, so nice to be able to actually devote time and energy to this again. I was a little worried about getting back into things, but chatting with my co-mods and various other awesome people, and rereading the Snaps Cup meme just made me really excited to get back on the wagon, so. yay. | 7:15 pm | another meme! Okay, despite the fact that I have completely failed at finishing ANY of the memes I've posted here, here's another one! I've given my characters a healthy dose of Veritaserum and now they have to tell the truth. What does this mean for you? Ask my characters questions about anything and everything and they will truthfully answer it. Mostly because I'm interested to see what kinds of questions people come up with. :P |

| 1:32 am | and lo, she saw that it was good Dear Fairly Tales, You are so ridiculously awesome. I am so incredibly proud of our game. Players, characters, plot, modship, everything. I never ever imagined I'd ever run a game, and I certainly never imagined that it would be so ridiculously successful. AND HUGE. OH my god. So huge. It's incredibly intimidating. I'm so paranoid that we're going to hit our limit soon and start in on the drama llamas and the collapsing and exoduses. I even said to Ryan the other day, "ENJOY THIS WHILE YOU CAN, FOR IN A FEW MONTHS WE SHALL BE CALLING THIS THE GOLDEN AGE OF FT" and he was like, "Yeah... I was thinking that two months ago."
